In 2014, Hasselt’s Jenever Museum refurbished its presentation and collection. The outcome was a brand-new, interactive exhibit aiming to position the museum as a local hotspot.

A new museum also needs a new corporate style, of course. And Absoluut gladly stepped up to the plate. We combined a modern look & feel with the amazing history of jenever.

“Eentje om bij te leren”… (Just one more for the road)… And this tongue-in-cheek humour is apparent throughout all the communication we created. The new corporate style, logo and website will help the museum communicate in a more streamlined manner in the future.

DM Magazine published a special about jenever and the museum’s reopening. A series of posters, ads, targeted Facebook posts and a jenever that had been specially distilled for the occasion lured visitors to the tastey opening weekend.

And it became clear during the opening weekend that visitors savoured the refurbished museum. More than 20,000 people visited the museum in the first three months after the opening. The number of weekend visitors multiplied by six (from 300 to 2,000 visitors).
