Jobs in the health and welfare sectors are still very hard to fill in Belgium. Many of these are difficult to fill because of a lot of persistent misunderstandings about difficult working hours and hard labour. So it was high time to highlight the biggest benefit in kind of these jobs: the gratitude of all the people you care for.


Radio ad
It was up to Absoluut to encourage more people to consider a job in healthcare and welfare. On 12 May, the International Nurses Day, we launched a campaign in which care providers proudly discussed their job with the hashtag #proudtocare. That day, the entire sector, from nursing students to the chefs in hospital kitchens, flooded the internet with their selfies. The hashtag #proudtocare became a trending topic on Twitter and various media picked up the campaign.

MNM also endorsed our campaign, challenging youth organisations to volunteer in the care sector for a day. We posted videos to social media and broadcast radio ads on MNM, Qmusic, StuBru and Top Radio. And those who wanted to find out more could turn to the brand-new website.
